Your Lady Elliot Island Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Paradise

10:30 AM - Scenic Flight

Your adventure kicks off in style with a breathtaking scenic flight over the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Keep your eyes peeled for humpback whales, turtles, and reef lagoons shimmering beneath you – it’s a truly unforgettable arrival.

11:30 AM – Island Welcome & Tour
Step off the plane and straight into island life. You’ll be greeted with a refreshing drink and a guided tour of the eco-resort, getting a feel for the lush landscapes and laid-back rhythm of Lady Elliot Island.

12:00 PM – Gourmet Buffet Lunch
Settle in and enjoy a fresh island-style buffet lunch overlooking the reef. The perfect fuel for the adventures ahead. Whilst you are having lunch your suitcases will be delivered to your rooms.

1:30 PM – Deep Sensations Freediving Workshop
Our team will run you through a freediving workshop, where you will learn the basics to be able to make the most of your time on the island. You will learn how to hold your breath longer, equalise, dive deeper, and the art to better and ethical marine interactions.

3:00 PM – Afternoon Snorkel (Lighthouse)
Time to dive in. We’ll head out for an easy drift snorkel off the Lighthouse - one of the best spots to see manta rays gliding gracefully through the blue, along with turtles, reef sharks, and vibrant coral gardens.

5:30 PM – Sunset at the Lighthouse
Golden hour doesn’t get better than this. Grab your camera (or a cold drink) and watch the sun melt into the horizon as the reef comes alive with colour.

6:30 PM – Dinner
Finish the day with a relaxed buffet dinner under the stars, swapping stories and playing fames with the group as you settle into island life.

Day 3: Dive, Learn & Unwind

6:30 AM – Sunrise(ish) Dive
A relaxed morning dive to start the day right. This is often when the mantas are gliding through the shallows and “Bubbles” the resident dolphin might drop by to say hello.

8:00 AM – Breakfast
Head back in for a good feed and a coffee — simple, fresh, and always with a view.

9:30 AM – Snorkel \ Freedive Lighthouse Bombie

We will dive the best spot on the island for bigger marine life. We will sit and see what swims our way!

11.30 AM Freediving & Underwater Photography Workshop

Join Curtis for a hands-on freediving workshop. Depending on the day, we’ll cover topics like breath-hold technique, equalisation, or underwater photography and editing. It’s a great chance to learn new skills and get practical feedback in a relaxed, small-group setting.

1:00 PM – Lunch
A casual lunch break before an easy afternoon ahead.

2:00 PM – Marine Biology Talk
Join a Marine Biology talk to learn more about the incredible animals that call Lady Elliot home, including humpback whales and mantas.

4:30 PM – Sunset Snorkel & Underwater Photoshoot

Our Underwater Photographer will lead a photoshoot on the sand flats, where we can ake some stunning underwater snaps, whilst the golden rays beams down. If you are an Underwater Photographer, you can also join in taking the photos and Curtis can provide 1-on-1 feedback on your shots and editing.

6:00 PM – Dinner
Finish the evening with good food and good company, sharing highlights from the day before another easy island night.

Day 2: Breathe, Dive & Explore

6:30 AM – Morning Breathwork on the Beach
Ease into the day with a relaxed breathwork session led by Curtis. It’s a great way to calm your mind, feel more present, and start the morning with a clear head and steady energy.

7:30 AM – Buffet Breakfast
Enjoy a casual breakfast overlooking the reef - fresh fruit, hot staples, pastries, and a good coffee to set you up for the day.

8:30 AM – Line Diving Session & Explore the Severance Shipwreck
We’ll head out for a relaxed freediving session focusing on technique, body position, and comfort in the water. No pressure on depth, just easy practice and time to tune into your diving rhythm.

12:30 PM – Buffet Lunch
Take a break, refuel, and catch up with the crew over lunch before heading out again.

2:00 PM – Afternoon Snorkel at the Lighthouse
An easy afternoon in the water exploring the reef and its marine life. Expect turtles, reef fish, and maybe a manta or two cruising by.

5:30 PM – Sunset at the Lighthouse
Meet at the Lighthouse for a quiet sunset session. It’s a nice time to slow down, take in the view, and swap stories from the day.

6:30 PM – Dinner
Dinner is casual and social - a relaxed buffet with plenty of good food and conversation to round out the day.

Day 4: Explore & Reflect

7:00 AM – Breathwork and Stretching for Freediving
Start the day with a light breathwork and mobility session focused on relaxation, flexibility, and lung expansion. It’s an easy way to prepare your body for another day in the water.

8:00 AM – Breakfast
Fuel up with a relaxed buffet breakfast before heading out on the boat.

10:00 AM – Guided Boat Dive
We’ll head offshore to explore parts of Lady Elliot Island's reef that can’t be reached from the beach. Expect vibrant coral walls, schools of fish, and maybe a few bigger visitors cruising past.

12:00 PM – Lunch
Back on land for a fresh and filling lunch — a good chance to rest, recharge, and chat about the morning’s dives.

2:00 PM – Optional Lagoon Snorkel or Conservation Talk
Take your pick between an easy snorkel in the lagoon or a relaxed chat with the island’s marine biologists about the conservation work happening on and around the reef.

3:30 PM – Afternoon Snorkel
One more chance to jump in and soak up the reef before the day winds down.

5:30 PM – Sunset at the Lighthouse
A favourite daily ritual - meet at the Lighthouse, camera or drink in hand, and enjoy another laid-back sunset with the crew.

6:30 PM – Dinner

Day 5 - The Last Day of Advenures

6:30 AM – Sunrise Dive
An early morning dive to make the most of your final day on the island. The light is soft, the water calm, and the reef life at its most active — a perfect way to start the day.

8:30 AM – Breakfast
Enjoy a relaxed breakfast and coffee with the group, soaking in those last island views.

11:00 AM – Dive Session
One final dive to wrap things up — no pressure, just a smooth and easy session to enjoy the water and everything you’ve learned over the past few days.

1:00 PM – Lunch
Back on land for a casual lunch before your final afternoon on the reef.

3:00 PM – Afternoon Snorkel \ Freedive (Lighthouse)
A last dip in one of Lady Elliot’s best spots. Cruise the coral gardens, say goodbye to the turtles and mantas, and take it all in one more time.

5:30 PM – Sunset Drinks at the Lighthouse
We’ll wrap up the trip with a relaxed drink and a sunset send-off at the Lighthouse - the perfect way to toast a week of diving, connection, and good company.

Day 6 - Final Farewell

6:30 AM – Sunrise Dive
One last dive to finish the trip on a high. The early light brings the reef to life - calm water, curious turtles, and that peaceful quiet only a morning underwater can bring.

8:30 AM – Breakfast
Enjoy your final breakfast on the island with the crew. Slow morning vibes, good food, and time to reflect on the week’s adventures.

10:00 AM – Relax & Checkout
A few final hours to unwind - take a walk, grab a coffee, or just sit by the water and soak in the view before checkout.

11:30 AM – Scenic Flight Back to Hervey Bay
Your journey ends just as it began - with a stunning flight over the Southern Great Barrier Reef. Keep an eye out for whales, rays, and those signature turquoise lagoons as you fly back to the mainland.

Please note, flights to and from Hervey Bay are not included.
