At Deep Sensations Freediving, our instructors often get asked what we do when we are not teaching. The answer is simple, we are usually still diving with the community.
That is because Deep Sensations Freediving is about more than courses.
We have built one of Australia’s biggest and most active freediving communities, bringing together ocean lovers, beginners, certified freedivers, spearos, and adventurers who want connection, consistency, and more time in the water.
From social dives and pool training to breathwork events, workshops, ice baths, and community catch-ups, this is a welcoming and inclusive space where people come to improve, make friends, and share the ocean with like-minded people.
And while our courses are often where people first find us, what makes Deep Sensations different is what happens after, ongoing connection, ongoing diving, and a real community that continues well beyond the course itself.

Our calendar is packed with social dives at our favourite dive sites across Sydney (often, Cabbage Tree Bay, Manly), Wollongong and Shellharbour (Bushrangers Bay, Gravel Loader, or Maloney's Bay), and other community events.
What is a social dive?
Our social dives are fun and FREE community 'fun dives', where freedivers and snorkellers of all levels meet up, and check out our favourite dive sites around NSW.
They are a casual and friendly setting, where we are not chasing numbers, more often than not we are splashing around and chatting at the surface, whilst appreciating marine life, such as the grey nurse sharks at Bushrangers Bay, or the cuttlefish at Shelly, Manly.
Who Can Join our social dive/snorkels?
Anyone! That's right. As long as you are a confident swimmer/snorkeller, you can join on the social dives. No certification needed. Bring your friends and family. We often have our crew bringing along their kids, mates, and parents!
Or, if you are coming solo, we GUARANTEE, you will be leaving with dive buddies/mates to last.
Experience the transformative power of ice baths and breathwork with Deep Sensations Freediving. Led by our founder Curtis, who has honed his practice over eight years, these sessions offer more than just physical benefits.
Curtis himself has found solace and strength through these practices, using them to overcome depression and enhance his performance and recovery.
Since his journey started, he has traveled the world and learned off some of the best in the business, now he offers group breathwork sessions, as well as 1-on-1's.
