R U OK Day Social Dive with Deep Sensations Freediving

Hello, Deep Sensations Freediving community!

We are still basking in the stoke of our spectacular R U OK Day Social Dive in recognition of R U OK Day.

We truly couldn't have asked for a better day, over 30 freedivers gathered to foster deeper connections with the community, self, and the nurturing embrace of nature. A hearty thank you to all our friends from Wollongong, the South Coast, Canberra, Sydney, and abroad who made it a point to join us and share in this beautiful experience.

We were blessed with incredibly great conditions as we ventured into the beautiful Maloney's Bay and Bushrangers Bay.

A special shout-out to our first-timers who bravely embraced the ice bath challenge, and to those who had the magical first-time experience of diving with the Grey Nurse Sharks. Your enthusiasm and spirit truly encapsulated the essence of the day.

We must extend our heartfelt thanks to Em Black, whose yoga and breathwork sessions invigorated our morning, setting a a great space for the day. Your guidance was the perfect start. We also cannot forget to mention the efforts of Brodie, despite having fresh tattoos, he braved the sun and lended assistance in setup and the capturing of beautiful snapshots made the day all the more special.

We would also like to express our immense gratitude to each and every individual who contributed to making this day incredibly special. Your participation, your smiles, and your willingness to engage in conversations that matter made the "Deeply Connected" social dive a memorable event that reverberated the true spirit of the R U OK Day.

Remember, sometimes it just takes a simple "are you ok?" to open up an ocean of understanding and support. Let us continue to foster this spirit of camaraderie and empathy, not just in the diving community, but in our daily lives as well.
